Update on the Bunker

Basically we were attacked by a virus mob attempting an SQL injection. The hosting company (1and1) locked the account and somehow managed to corrupt the container.

Right then, what to do now? lock the site into repair mode (Hows your Linux shell commands?) download the database via SSH, reimage, reinstall and away we go. Ermm no. The database exceeds the file transfer limits set by the hosting company. So now we try and download everything individually, table by table. Great except it crashed and crashed and crashed again. This is all because of tight rules imposed by the host because of the initial attack.

Then I ran out of talent. Jimbo, a mate from work then started to assist last night. He managed to grab all the files and we are moving the hosting. We are also updating the board to a new version. The board will be up and running hopefully this evening in old style look and we'll update the software over the next week.

The good news is that it will now be hosted on our own server, no more will we have to rely on 1and1 for x,y & z.

It's been a fucking nightmare!!!

I was really quite shocked that Maggie's funeral managed to fuck all the Web Servers up.

Didn't understand a word of that but it sounds like you've had to do a lot of work to do. Best of luck with the rest of it. Might cheer you up to know that I knacked my knee while dancing on Maggie's grave and now need an op on my medial meniscus .

As for Maggie's funeral; theres a few tales to tell on that! I walked into the church with a couple of other guys; myself, a Welsh Guardsman and Rob Horsfall. (He's got a few war stories - google Robin Horsfall).

Anyway we sat down in the pew and a familiar looking woman turned round and smiled. It took me a little while to realise it was Joan Collins. Afterwards I found myself having a piss with John Redwood on one side and Douglas Hurd on the other. Tory public schoolboys are not people you want to be in close toilet proximity with!! Anyway, more to come on all that.

Couldn't you just get people to join another forum and stage a hostile takeover?

Netmums would be good cos they're a bit slutty but if your lass asks you can be checking childcare or other metrosexual stuff instead of sending messages to desperate women just like your lass but who are somehow happier to put out without being spoiled.

Will be glad to see the bunker back having to do some work to stop me being bored these days!

I heard he kicked it too hard and caused a current surge in all the electronic equipment in his house and his pocket, so he is now isolated from the world.

I've stickied this since Mr I seems to have lost the thread, otherwise I'm sure he'd have given us another update.

We're all waiting with baited breath. (Notice I used Bunker spelling there.)

The suspense is killing me.
