Hughes did his job, but I won't say we had no chance. We might have been there fighting it out on the final day if IOR had supported him.

Just watched Hughes post match interview on Pools Player. All laughs and smiles about penguins and very little about the mess the current players and coaching staff got us into prior to his arrival.

Why do I have this horrible feeling that very little is going to change and that those largely responsible for the decline post Danny Wilson will remain....

Can't see anything changing, just more of the same, more tweaking of a failed 'plan' ......akin to tuning the engine on a mini metro as you enter it into an F1 race...pointless. The penguins, a mere distraction..... like throwing a ball for an angry dog, hoping when it comes back it'll be in a better 'mood' , .....stop growling and won't chew your arse.
